Garys Pool
GP is a small lake set adjacent to Wheal Rashleigh. It’s an 8 swim 0.5-acre pleasure lake. It was built in mind for junior’s to learn their watercraft before moving on to our main lakes. The lake was funded by the Environment agency and was suitably named after the club’s previous Chairman Gary Strange, who sadly passed away in 2019 after devoting much of his time to the club. This lovely little lake contains many small yet quickly growing Carp, Crucians, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Bream, and Perch.
The depth is approx. 3-6ft all over.
There is a memorial bench on the bank for a spot of lunch for the adults, whilst the kids enjoy drowning maggots.
